Findrent started with a couple of foreign students and a housing search that wouldn't end.
Findrent was made by a couple of foreign students who came to the Netherlands, settled here, and then moved more times than we'd like to count. Between us we've lived in room after room, studio after studio, apartment after apartment, across more cities than we ever planned to.
Along the way we hit every wall the Dutch housing market has to offer. We refreshed the same handful of listing sites three, five, ten times a day for months on end. We camped in Facebook and WhatsApp groups, waded through scammers, and turned up to a place only to learn we were somewhere in the hundreds of people who had already applied.
And we watched it get harder. Every year the search takes longer, the competition grows, and being fast stops being an advantage and becomes the whole game.
Findrent is the tool we wish we'd had. It watches the major platforms so you don't have to, and tells you the second something matches – so for once you can be one of the first to reach out, instead of one of the hundreds.
